Musical Love Notes | Rustic "Styled" Wedding | Carleen Bright Arboretum Wedding

Musical Love Notes is about 2 amazing singers that have been in love for over 9 years and use their voices to enhance the community and the kingdom. The couple never had a real wedding as they were serving our country. I wanted to produce my very first styled shoot and incorporate all the things they were. Amazing, talented, beautiful, eclectic and god-fearing. I chose this couple because they are so in love and they deserved a day of it being just about them.

The colors were green, ivory and gold. Green is obtained by mixing Yellow (trials) with Blue (Word of God). Therefore, the biblical meaning of color Green is immortality. ... Green is also symbolic of resurrection which we see each Spring. Immortality should be EVERY marriage., never ending. Gold (The trial of faith will be more precious than Gold and be tried with fire). Here the meaning is: Yellow is associated with fire, which in turn, has always been associated with the purification process.Ivory/White- Bride of Christ, surrender, harvest, light, righteousness, conquest, victory, blessedness, Joy, Angels, saints, peace, completion, triumph.

When I first met Jokia, I didn’t see her….I heard her!!! Her voice is so angelic I was in awe. {{Here is one of my favorite songs of hers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmn7SPyyZLU }}. After she sung, something drew me to her to talk to her about my daughter and her ministry. {{That’s another blog post}}. After a few months, we ran back into one another and we boy was it a divine appointment. I love her spirit, her honesty and most importantly her family. They are truly god-fearing each and every one of them and it's such an honor to meet kingdom minded people.

Let’s fast forward…. I was working on this project and I needed models. But I didn’t want just “any” models, I needed a God fearing power couple so I asked them would they volunteer for this project and they said “YES!” Remember: A good marriage isn't something you find; it's something you make. When I have learnt to love God better than my earthly dearest, I shall love my earthly dearest better than I do now. Unfaithfulness in marriage is indicative of unfaithful hearts toward God. Marriage is such a beautiful relationship and a gift from God.

At the time, I didn’t realize their entire family would be such a blessing to this project….God is so good and I can’t wait to show you just how good.

Throughout the theme, you will notice musical notes all around, why??? Because the voice on the bride is super amazing.

Brides, you’ve made a big investment in photography (and possibly videography as well) to help capture your big day. You want to make sure you absolutely look your best. Although, I’m sure you do a very nice job on your everyday makeup, I strongly recommend looking into hiring a makeup artist.

Even though you’re great at doing your own makeup, a MUA can do it so much better. I mean, after all, that is their job. We especially recommend hiring a good MUA if you don’t normally do your own makeup. They know what will look good on you and can make it look natural and flawless. Makeup artists use high-grade makeup – nothing runs, shines, or smudges, ensuring that you don’t have any makeup malfunctions during your big day. They also know what works well with the flash, the lighting at different times of the day, etc.

One of our most frequently asked questions is: How long should I book my wedding photographer for? This is a great question, and we’re here to help you find the answer. Some weddings can be covered in just four hours. If you’re having a backyard wedding or a courthouse wedding where your reception is short (for example, no dancing, etc.) and maybe just like a sit down dinner at a restaurant, then this could all be covered in four hours time. I recommend 5-6 hours minimum.

Many of my couples ask me whether or not they should have a first look. If you’re reading this, you’re probably wondering the same thing. In my professional opinion, I think they are an excellent idea. I love first looks. I know that they are a tad bit ‘untraditional,’ but even if you have a first look or not; your husband will be just as happy to see you walking down the aisle and you’ll still take his breath away. Don’t worry that you’ll be spoiling the moment by seeing him prior to the ceremony.

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times with the same person.

All of our wedding packages include two photographers – a main photographer, and a second shooter. A second shooter is an additional photographer who is there to cover the wedding as well. We choose to have a second shooter for many reasons. If we are limited on time, having a second shooter will ensure we don’t miss anything. One of us can be shooting the reception details while the other is in cocktail hour getting all of those candid moments and details.

For formal photos, you have to consider how many people are in your bridal party, and how many people are going to be in your family photos. If you have a small bridal party and a small number of family members having photos done, (and you’re at the same location the whole time), then six hours will suffice. If you have a larger family or bridal party, you will need closer to eight hours.
