7 Reasons why Gods timing is best | Christian Blogger | Purity | Modesty

I know some of these reasons may seem like UGH, I've done these before and I'm so tired I just want what I want. Believe me, I've been there. I have yelled, screamed, cried, laughed, gave in, gave up and more. But in the end, to be 100% honest...nothing worked except for just being patient.

After my divorce of almost 15 years being married, I had to go back to a purity state of mind & lifestyle... yes, I had to now commit myself to "wait" to have sex before marriage #again IF the Lord saw fit for me to remarry. {{At the time of this blog 10.18.17 I am currently not married}}.

1. Isaiah 40:31 - Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint

Sometimes when we read the bible and it's verses, they could seem a bit "old fashion"...but the reality is if God is the same yesterday, today and forever, then how great of a God is He that he knew what we ALL would go through at any stage of life. Whether it was us, our grand parents, or ancestors...there's something for everyone at any given time. Yes, the lord will renew our strength in times of trouble. But guess what. It's never how we except it. Have you ever prayed for patience and wondered, "why am I going through all of this?" It's because without trials, how can you really put patience into practice? I believe that God throws those things at us to see exactly how we're going to deal with those situations.

2. Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens

Even when we're not prepared for it, there is time for EVERYTHING. When my late husband {{not first husband}} passed away STORY HERE after finally finding true love, 4.5 months later... I couldn't believe it. Everyone wanted me to be angry with the Lord because of how long I waited and prayed for my "soul mate." But yet, I couldn't be upset...hurt --> of course, but angry no. What I felt during the process was a lot of adreneline at first. After that calmed down, I felt God with me. After that, I guess you'd say the grieving stages kicked in. My mother told me that I was grieving backwards, but either way it was an indication that time waits for NO ONE. There is truly a time for everything. Life, death, happiness, sadness etc. Make sure that no matter where you are in life, that when it's your time to deal with your seasons that you ALWAYSSSS draw nigh to the father. I've learned that even with my bad decisions, I was like well God, I'm being disobedient but I still need you with me. Yes, I'm going to be 100% with you, I prayed during my bad times and ask the Lord NOT to forsake me.

3- 2 Peter 3:8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day

When I first read this in all honesty I was like, ghee whiz Lord...will my prayer EVER get answered??? LOL, am I the only one who's felt like this??? Am I going to have to wait "that long" Father? The questions are never ending. But I believe what the author is trying to convey is that, we may feel like we're waiting so long, but to the Lord it's only a matter of time and He is eternity. Hearing wait for so long can become discouraging, but knowing the joy that comes out of waiting and receiving the rewards of our hearts desire is the final outcome.

WHICH LEADS US TO ....

4- Acts 1:7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.

As hard as it is to wait upon the Lord, the reality is..we're not waiting for Him, He's waiting for us. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us he already knows EVERY SINGLE THING..so with that being said, do you understand that He knows what we're thinking, our emotions and will, etc. The decisions that we're going to make and the consequences - He already knows. If we knew everything and what was going to happen, that would prevent us from seeking the Lord and/or doing the right thing "until" that moment before we knew it was time to clean up. Having great faith is more powerful than knowledge.

5. Galatians 4:4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, Born of a woman, born under the law

SET TIME... I believe that out of everything that I've said..set time is the key here. God didn't just say, Jesus pick a date and I'll go with that. He had a time and date set at an appropriate time. Just think, I waited 5 years after my divorce to find Mr. Right and boy were those 5 years rocky at times. But when he came, It was like time stood still. he prayed for me, over me and with me EVERY single morning. He accepted my children as his own {{even though he didn't have any}} and he should such a godly love #agape that was beyond explanation. Stephen was truly the epitome of loving his wife as Christ loved the church.

6. Eccelesiastes 3:11 He has made everythign beautiful in it's time. He has also set eternity in the Human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Ever read your bible from Genesis and then get to Ezekiel and wonder if that book should have been first??? There's no mistake in anything the Lord does. Even with the pain or loneliness we may experience. Ever feel that tugging to be more closer to God and yet we ignore it, but when we get sick our sick time is hours spent in prayer. That's no coincidence either.

7. Lamentations 3:25-26 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord

HOPE...What is hope? It's a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen {{dictionary}}. When we have hope, we somehow believe in our hearts that "something" is going to happen. We trust that our Lord and savior has heard our cries, prayers and dreams and we're confident that He's going to give us the desires of our heart. But, sometimes our hearts can covet things that the Lord will not fulfil. Most people believe that hope is wishful thinking, but hope is a huge form of faith. Hope is a promise, a goal and a gift from God.

In conclusion: Whatever the Lord says He's going to do, He's not a man that he should lie. he said in His word, that it will not return unto Him void. Every desire that we have, every motive that we have, every dream and aspiration that we have requires a degree of patience. But, if we keep our mind on the promises of the Lord, we will eventually receive our reward for waiting.

Matthew 6:33King James Version (KJV).But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these. things shall be added unto you.

Until next time
